The Art Giraffe was asked to head up a project for the

Indiana Bison-Tenniel....200 years of Indiana statehood.  The 100 lb. fiberglass bison was delivered from Lincoln, NE in May.  Two friends, Jan and Dale, helped me paint this 5' tall, 8' long fellow for the United Way of Fulton County.  He depicts the history and celebration of Fulton Co and Indiana.  He is touring festivals in Fulton Co. this summer, and the IN State Fair, and then will reside at the Fulton Co. Museum.  What a great experience and opportunity.

Just following my own advise of "stick your neck out and try something new"!

Quilts made for home and the studio.

PBS39 crew taped at the studio for an upcoming Arts in Focus program!!!!  A new adventure.  They were all so nice.

Took my first portrait class with Diane Tesler from Kewanna, IN.  Worked from a live model (Nick) in the morning with 2-20 min sittings, then from a photo of Ali in the afternoon.  Now to practice, practice, and practice more.  Fun though.

I have been having some fun doing Fused Glass at the Pottery Bayou in Winona Lake.  This is a 15" bowl made for our daughter-in-law for her BD.  Hooked on fused fun.

We are very proud to announce that Loyal, the bison, WON the IN state contest for the Art Award competing against the other Bison at the State Fair, AND 3rd place in popular vote.  That earned Fulton County a monetary award to go to The Fulton County United Way.  We artists were honored with a beautiful reception and plaques recognizing our art work.  Pretty special.

A new adventure for me:

Illustrating a book written by a friend.  Fun but scary!!!

Open House is always the first weekend in Nov.  These are pictures from Open House...2019.

I painted this funny fellow on the studio wall so he could watch over The Art Giraffe....but he IS the Art Giraffe!!!  Welcome!!

I took a few weaving classes at MoonTree recently.  What fun.  Now to work on my own loom this winter..hopefully.
